Clubs

Ms. Swift (art teacher) provides a weekly mini-lesson for inspiration, followed by open studio time. 

The art club is open to anyone that wants to stop by. You do not need to come every Monday, for all three hours, or be "good" at drawing to enjoy this club. Come and feel the benefits of art.

Club meets Mondays, from 2:30 - 5 p.m. in the Art Room.

 The Cedar Springs High School Athletic Leadership Council (ALC) is on a mission to unite the students, staff, and community and spread the Red Hawk Pride. The ALC consists of thirty high school athletes in grades 9-12 from varying athletic teams.  

The ALC unites students and staff by:     

• Encouraging students and staff to show their Red Hawk Pride by wearing school merchandise
• Leads in creating Red Hawk Days
• Work with local businesses to show their support for Cedar Spring Athletics
• Set up special celebrations for sports teams during the year     
   

Red Hawk Kids Club

ALC members help inspire the future Red Hawks at our elementary school. They work together to inspire the next generation and showcase what it takes to be a successful athlete at Cedar Springs, respect, responsibility, patience, and equality. They are an inspiration. They are Red Hawks.

Students apply at the end of the year.

A different card game will be played every week and different games will be taught to expand students' knowledge of card games.

Club meets Wednesdays, 2:30 - 3:30 p.m. in Mr. Ringler's Classroom.

Players use critical thinking and logical skills as they explore fantasy worlds together embarking on epic quests! 

Beginners to Pros, all are welcome.

Club meets Wednesdays, at 2:25 p.m. in Room E219.

Club meets the 1st and last Monday of each month after school in Mr. Willett's room.

This is a student led bible study for all students.

This club is held in Mr. Relish's room.

This club will dig deep into how ancient people lived and create an interest and explore all about Greek mythology.

Club meets Thursday, 2:30-3:30 p.m. in Mrs. Bird's classroom.

The outdoor club is for students who enjoy hiking, photography, bird watching, environmental care, and outdoor stewardship.

The outdoor club is open to anyone that would like to attend!

Club meets Tuesdays after school in Coach T's Classroom (D227).

We in the Pokemon club invite anyone who would like to play, talk, debate, or battle Pokemon to join us. We will work with the TCG, the video games, and the anime. 

Club will start meeting April 20 on Thursdays, 2:25-3:25 p.m. in Ms. Pierog's Classroom (D219).

Students will gain new knowledge, experiences and opportunities in the field of Biology. We are centered around the United States of America Biology Olympiad tournament. We will engage in further discussion and research regarding this subject.

Every year Cedar Springs Fine Arts Department produces a full length play. Auditions are open to all high school students. The play generally requires 7-9 weeks of rehearsals and three or four performances. Positions are open for cast members as well as all areas of technical work including set construction, stage crew, costumes, makeup, properties, and publicity. Tryouts are held in September with performances in November.

MUSICAL

Every year Cedar Springs Fine Arts Department produces a musical. Tryouts are open to all high school students. Students work on acting, singing and dancing skills. Students may also choose to play in the pit orchestra, or work on publicity, costume, make-up, properties set construction or stage crews. Tryouts are usually held in January with performances in March.

Fall Play: Auditions are held in Sept/Oct with performances in November.
Musical: Auditions are held early December with performances in February.

A student organization meant to create a safe environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (LGBTQ+) students and their straight peers. This club hopes to educate the school community about the LGBTQ+ community and to prevent violence against these students.

Club meets Tuesdays, 2:30-3:40 in Ms. Cuncannan's classroom.
