Community Service
Performing community service has been shown to offer several benefits to students and the community.
Most positions require students to learn new skills on a professional level, that translate into job skills that are useful in future job searches. It also allows students to create new contacts professionally leading to jobs, recommendations, references, or help when searching for a job.
Hours of service are also reflected in many college applications and can be used when applying for scholarships. Students who volunteer show they are responsible and have an interest in helping others.
Last, volunteering in our community helps make it a better place! It helps build our community and allows students to make an impact in a positive way.
