Student Job Opportunities
Work permits are required for youth (minors) working in most employment positions. The employer must have a completed work permit form on file before a minor begins work.A work permit may be issued by the school the minor attends, the school district where the minor resides, or the district where the minor will be employed. The applicant is responsible for obtaining and submitting a work permit prior to start date of employment.
Work permits are also available for pick up in the brochure wall hanger outside the high school main office door.
Steps to filling out a Work Permit
- Applicant fills out Section I
- Applicant must bring the work permit to potential employer, and have them complete Section II
- Applicant must bring the form (after steps 1 & 2 are completed) to the high school* during business hours to have Section III completed
- Applicant must return the completed original form to the employer before beginning work
*During the school breaks, forms may be completed by visiting the district office in the Hilltop Administration Building.
