Freshmen have three options available to them for their first year in science. Earth Science, Agriculture and Natural Resources, or Biology. All students must take at least 3 credits in science. Of those 3 credits, he/she must take Biology and either Chemistry or Physics. The third credit is your choice. It is advisable to take either Earth Science or Agriculture and Natural Resources first if you have average to below average grades in science during your middle school years.
Agriscience courses are for the student who likes outdoor activity,
who is interested in animals and things that grow. Students have
the opportunity to join the FFA, travel, and develop leadership
and Agriscience skills. The program covers a variety of subjects
which help prepare students for the more than 200 careers
available in agriculture today.
Agriscience classes provide science
credit for students for graduation.
