GENERAL PINK WEEK INFOTop of Page

PINK WEEK IS UPON US!Top of Page

“Pink-Out” Games have become very popular in recent years, even here at Cedar Springs.  An idea that originated with an athlete here at Cedar Springs, working with parents and administration, the idea has continued to grow through the years to where we are today.  Thousands of dollars have been donated to various charities through the years.  In conjunction with numerous student and adult volunteers, one “Pink Game” each fall has grown into a week long event this year.  It will be a week full of fundraisers, awareness and highlighted athletic events.

“Pink Week” is NEXT WEEK (October 1-5).

The theme for “Pink Week” is “United in Pink—Fighting for Gold”  We will continue our “Pink Out”    tradition that started years ago, yet we hope to raise awareness on all types of cancer, and to        ultimately raise funds that will go directly to research that will help bring an end to Pediatric/Childhood Cancer, an issue that has directly impacted our Cedar Springs Community.  Gold is the color for Childhood Cancer Awareness.  The week long blend of Pink and Gold is very symbolic for us, and hopefully as a community we will become:

“United in Pink—Fighting for Gold!”

All of the funds raised this week are going directly to “The Cure Starts Now”, an organization where all the funds go directly towards research to find the cure for cancer, starting with          pediatric brain cancer research.  (www.thecurestartsnow.org)
