Reminder for Band Equipment and Borrowed MusicTop of Page
As an end of year reminder, all band students who are NOT continuing in band next 2017-2018 school year, need to return any school owned instruments and borrowed music to the school. If you are currently renting your instrument from a music store, please keep your instrument at home during the summer to practice.
Cedar Springs Instrumental Music program has seen great growth and development throughout the years. The Cedar Springs Band program has a rich history of excellence and tradition, including hosting the longest running marching band invitational in the state of Michigan. We offer band in grades six through twelve in many varieties including concert band, solo and ensemble, jazz band, marching band, and pep band. The opportunities to participate in band will help shape our students into positive, productive citizens in our ever-changing world. Our goal is to teach students the importance of discipline, perseverance, teamwork, and the elements of life that will make them successful in the future.
Tara has been a clairnet section leader in marching band, plays bassoon in the Wind Ensemble and maintains the highest GPA in her class. Along with her musical endeavors, she is also involved in track, cross country, robotics and has participated in the musicals.
Congratulations to Tara Tepin on being named our Cedar Springs High School Scholar Instrumentalist of the month.
